Morgen Abend findet der 13. Online Stammtisch Köln (OSK) im RheinEnergiestadion statt und wir werden dabei sein um unser EM-Tippspiel “Tipplr” zu promoten. It’s been over a week since our crew, that is me, Jan and Georg went on a trip to the beautiful city of Wrocław.
But, really, can you blame us? It was one hell of an action-packed weekend with bedazzling people, great presentations, amazing lightning talks, and astounding after parties!
Two great presentations I, personally, loved were: “Responsive Web Design” by Nicolas Barrera and “Designing Hypermedia APIs” by Steve Klabnik.

Jan and Georg also made a presentation about some of the most interesting, absurd, or funny insights and moments they’ve experienced in past couple of years as programmers. Get out of the trap!
Beside the regular presentations lightning talks were presented in the evening. Jan presented Hackerspursuit, a web-driven competition between hackers to show who is the best of the best.
And probably the best lightning talk – “Delete your code” by _tjeden – was presented on the conference! If you use git, don’t be afraid to delete your code! Just do it! you do have git history, so don’t comment out your code – just delete it!
Wroclove.rb was one of the best conferences we’ve attended. Great talks, great party, and most importantly, the best people! Without all of you, this event would be nothing! The level of the talks was very high and we had a lots of fun at the after parties. We’re looking forward to have a Wroclove.rb 2013 next year.
Railslove Hackathon 2012 #rlhck2012 #rlhck
This year we’re announcing the first Railslove Hackathon 2012. It’s an internal hackathon for all Railslove team members and non client related projects. But for us it’s only a warmup before the Advance Hackathon happening 2 days later.

Bürogolf: Auftakt-Turnier im Space
Seit 4 Jahren bietet das Bürogolf Team in Münster regelmäßig offene Bürogolf-Netzwerk-Events an. In Köln wurden bislang nur sporadisch Veranstaltungen angeboten. Das soll sich in 2012 ändern.
Gemeinsam mit der Agentur für Kommunikation und Design Gute Botschafter wird nun mit der „Gute Botschafter-Bürogolf-Challenge powered by Bürogolf Team“ die Bürogolfsaison eröffnet und damit eine regelmäßige Plattform für spielerisches Netzwerken angeboten.

ADVANCE HACKATHON in der Gasmotorenfabrik
Es ist soweit: Das zweite ADVANCE Spin-off-Event organisiert von Medien.NRW erblickt das Licht der Welt.
Willkommen beim, ADVANCE HACKATHON!
Webentwickler und -Designer dieser Welt sind eingeladen: zum Coden.
Vom 27. bis zum 29. April treffen sich Entwickler aus ganz NRW und darüber hinaus beim ADVANCE HACKATHON im Coworking Space Gasmotorenfabrik, Köln.
*Das Ziel*
Talentierte Web-Entwickler und -Designer an einen Tisch zu bekommen, eigene oder fremde Projekte anzustoßen, gemeinsam Code weiterzuentwickeln, fertig zu stellen oder schlicht zu experimentieren. Das ganze „Grassroot-Style“, also ohne Vorgaben, Sessions, Deadlines oder Themenvorgaben, idealerweise Open Source.
